Imran Khan's close aide Fawad Chaudhary arrested

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhary was arrested in Lahore. He was arrested after he publicly criticised Pakistan government for plotting to arrest former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Imran Khan’s PTI supporters started demonstrations across Pakistan, following Chaudhary’s arrest.

Chaudhary had openly criticised the Shehbaz Sharif government and had virtually threatened the Election Commission. An offense has been registered against Chaudhary at a police station in Islamabad. His arrest was anticipated by the PTI supporters.
