BJP's massive victory in Gujarat, PM Modi salutes people's power

The results of assembly elections have come in two states of the country, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. In Gujarat where BJP has secured a record majority. And in Himachal Congress has returned to power after five years. On the other hand, if we talk about Gujarat, BJP has created a new record of winning the maximum number of seats in the state. Out of total 182 seats, BJP has won 156 seats, while Congress has won 17 seats and Aam Aadmi Party has won 5 seats. In this, 4 seats have come in the account of other parties and independent candidates. In Gujarat a grand swearing-in ceremony will be held on 12th December.

Record of winning the most seats in Gujarat

Amidst all the claims and promises of the opposition parties, once again the key of power has been handed over to the BJP. This time, the people have shown so much faith in the development and plans of the BJP, which has been serving the people of Gujarat for the last 27 years, that they have won with record votes. If we talk about the party that has won the maximum number of seats in Gujarat so far, then 20 years ago, BJP had won the maximum 127 seats in Gujarat. However, before that in 1985, the Congress had won 149 seats, a record which has now been broken. And five years ago, in the 2017 elections, the BJP had won 99 seats, while the Congress had won 77 and others had won 6 seats.

Voting was held in two phases in Gujarat.

The voting for 182 seats in Gujarat was held in two phases on December 1 and 5. In Gujarat where 63.14% polling was done in the first phase and 59.11% in the second phase. Almost all exit polls in Gujarat were showing a clear victory for the BJP. BJP is in power in Gujarat for the last 27 years.

PM expressed gratitude to the public and workers

After the record victory in Gujarat, PM Modi said, “I am very overwhelmed to see the unprecedented election results. And at the same time expressed the wish that this pace should continue faster. I bow down to the people power of Gujarat. Along with this, he also thanked all the hardworking BJP workers. He said, “Each one of you is a champion! This historic victory would not have been possible without the extraordinary hard work of our Karyakartas, who are the real strength of our party.

On Gujarat's victory, BJP leader and Home Minister Amit Shah said that Gujarat has always done the work of creating history. In the last two decades, under the leadership of PM Modi, BJP broke all records of development in Gujarat and today the people of Gujarat have blessed BJP and broken all records of victory. This is the victory of people's unwavering faith in PM Modi's development model. During this, he said that Gujarat has given an unprecedented mandate to PM Modi's BJP, which has made development and public welfare a reality by rejecting those who do politics of hollow promises, revelry and appeasement. This massive victory has shown that every section be it women, youth or farmers, all are wholeheartedly with BJP.

'The people rejected the anti-national forces'

At the same time, with this victory, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel said that the people of Gujarat only want development and have voted only in the name of development. The people have rejected the anti-national forces. He further said that the public has voted by showing faith in PM Modi.

Congress returns to power in Himachal

Congress has returned to power in Himachal Pradesh after five years. Congress got 40 out of 68 seats, while BJP got 25 seats. Others have got 3 seats in their account. PM Modi has also thanked the people of Himachal. He wrote, “I thank the people of Himachal Pradesh for the love and support extended to the BJP. We will keep working to fulfill the aspirations of the state and raise the issues of the people in the times to come."
