Bhupendra Patel took oath as CM of Gujarat for the second time

Bhupendra Patel was sworn in as the 18th Chief Minister of Gujarat along with 16 other MLAs on Monday after a landslide victory in the Gujarat Assembly elections. The swearing-in ceremony was organized at the helipad ground of the Gandhinagar Secretariat. In the recently concluded Gujarat Assembly Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party registered an unprecedented victory of 156 out of 182 Assembly seats.

Bhupendra Patel became the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the second time

Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office to Bhupendra Patel as Chief Minister at the helipad ground of Gandhinagar Secretariat. Bhupendra Patel has become the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the second time. Earlier on 13 September 2021, he was sworn in as the 17th Chief Minister of Gujarat. He was first elected as the leader of the Legislature Party in 2021 itself. CM Bhupendra Patel has also created history in the Gujarat assembly elections held this time. He has won Ghatlodiya constituency by a record margin of around 1,92,000 votes. Bhupendra Patel is one of those leaders who have a clean image and are considered leaders among the masses.

Let's know who all became ministers in Bhupendra Patel's government?

1. Kanubhai Desai: Pardi MLA Kanubhai Desai has again got a place in the Bhupendra Patel government. Kanubhai Desai took the oath of office. Desai was the finance, energy and petrochemicals minister in the previous government of Bhupendra Patel.

2. Hrishikesh Patel: MLA from Visnagar Hrishikesh Patel has again got the post of minister. Rishikesh was the health minister in the previous government.

3. Raghavji Patel: Raghavji Patel, belonging to the Leuva Patel community, is a resident of Saurashtra region and has got a ministerial post. He is an MLA from Jamnagar Rural seat of Jamnagar district.

4. Balwant Singh Rajput: BJP's Balwant Singh Rajput belongs to the Kshatriya community and comes from North Gujarat. He is currently an MLA from Siddhpur seat in Patan district. This time he has also got the post of minister.

5. Bhanuben Bawaria: MLA from Rajkot Rural. This time he has also been made a cabinet minister.

6. Kunvarji Bavaliya: Jasdan MLA Kunvarji has also been included in the Bhupendra Patel cabinet. Kunvarji was a minister in the previous government as well.

7. Mulubhai Bera: BJP leader Mulubhai Bera is the MLA from Khambhalia seat in Devbhoomi Dwarka district. He became MLA for the first time in the year 1995 and has been MLA for 4 times till now. This time he has also been made a minister.

8. Kuber Dindor: He is the MLA from Santrampur and this time he is included in the cabinet.

9. Harsh Sanghvi: Harsh, who was the Minister of State for Home in the previous government of Bhupendra Patel, has been re-inducted as the Minister of State (Independent Charge). He is an MLA from Majura.

10. Jagdish Vishwakarma: Jagdish Vishwakarma, who was elected MLA from Nicol, has also been made Minister of State (Independent Charge). Jagdish was also a minister in the previous government.

11. Bachchu Bhai Khabar: Deogarh Baria is the MLA. He has been made the Minister of State in the present government.

12. Parsottam Solanki: MLA from Bhavnagar Rural Parsottam Bhai Solanki has been made the Minister of State.

13. Mukesh Patel: MLA from Olpad. He has also been made the Minister of State in the present government.

14. Praful Panseria: MLA from Kamrej. He has been made the Minister of State in the present government.

15. Bhikhu Singh Parmar: MLA from Modasa, has been made the Minister of State.

16. Kunvarji Halapati: MLA from Mandvi. He has been made the Minister of State in the present government.

Who was present at the swearing in?

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh attended the swearing-in. Apart from these, Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states including Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister and Apna Dal leader Anupriya Patel, Union Minister Smriti Irani attended.

Gujarat created history

The state of Gujarat was established in 1960. The BJP has been in power in Gujarat for the last 27 consecutive years since the formation of the state. In the assembly elections held this year, the BJP has created a new record of winning the maximum number of seats in Gujarat. Out of total 182 seats, BJP has won 156 seats, while Congress has won 17 seats and Aam Aadmi Party has won 5 seats. In this, 4 seats have come in the account of other parties and independent candidates. In Gujarat assembly election voting was held in two phases for 182 seats on 1 and 5 December and counting of votes took place on 8 December.

Prime Minister congratulated

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted congratulating Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. In his tweet, the Prime Minister wrote, "Many congratulations to Bhupendra Bhai Patel ji on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. I would also like to congratulate all those who took oath as Ministers. It is an energetic team that is working for Gujarat. It will take to new heights."
